Clark Art Gallery Opening!

We sure feel like grandparents now - and we have the refrigerator art to prove it! This is wonderful stuff. You will notice that Clark is multi-media with paint, crayon, stickers, crepe paper and cellophane. It is hard to see it all, you can drop by the gallery at any time for a tour. Keep up the good work Clark!

Quilts for Sarah and Savannah -2010

I was looking through my pictures and realized I had not sent the pictures of the quilts that Mom made for Sarah and Savannah. I am putting them here now for you to enjoy.
Savannah told Great Grandma that she sleeps under her quilt because it gives her good dreams.

Exeter Mural Geo cache event

Amelia and Chris came last night for a visit...or maybe just to eat enchiladas and try my new Pumpkin Dessert that I found here: http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/great-pumpkin-dessert/Detail.aspx

Today we went to the town of Exeter about 15 minutes away. They have 27 murals in the town related to the area. We had a map that listed hidden items in some of the pictures. Here we are by the mural of the Mineral King area.

This train mural had hidden pictures of Darth Vadar, the Wizard of Oz and Buzz Lightyear so it was especially fun.

In addition to the hidden pictures Chris found that if we followed online clues about several of the pictures we could decode the coordinates of a geocache. We did that and found a "treasure". We did one more unrelated geocache in town. This tiny canister was the magnetized container Chris found at on a piece of equipment with lots of bolts. Inside was the tiny piece of paper where we signed in as having found the cache. We had a good walk and were quite entertained by our outing.

Of course Amelia had to pet the horse.

GIANTS WIN!! and Ayden's orange hair

Ayden spent the night on Sunday - 10/10/10. On Monday morning he was getting ready for the Giants/Braves game. He was loading up the best he knew how - with donuts - and wearing his orange hair! And he was rewarded with the Giants winning their game and getting ready to go play the Phillies. GO GIANTS!!

Savannah and soccer and Sarah's birthday

Savannah is quite the little tiger on the soccer field. She is fun to watch. Her team this year is the Thunderbolts! We also did Sarah's 36th birthday. She had princess cupcakes to celebrate (she and I are in "the pose".

Alice Coopersville

Brian and Rick sharing one of the enormous hot dogs. Rick asked for the toppings on the side - the boys behind had the one with all the toppings - chili, cheese, jalapenos, onions, mustard, ketchup. Brandon was content to watch everyone else eat one - as was Danielle and I. We went a little more on the regular food side.

Summer happenings

We were in Arizona for Brian's graduation - this was at Alice Coopersville restaurant right by the Diamondback stadium. These are all the grandkids with Grandma Franny and Papa Rick. It was fun having them all together.

love the new picture

We love the new picture that is posted. I am again trying to get my pictures to a place where I can put them here. will post real soon.
