Ramp Revamp

Jim Augustus came for another visit and this time he revised the ramp that John had made two years ago. The ramp was supposed to be temporary but I got used to not going up and down the steps so it's stayed all this time...in its temporary state. I've included a picture of the ramp right after John constructed it and Jim, Bob and Misha trying out the updated version. You can see it's all dressed up now. I decided to remove the handrail which wasn't used much and instead we put a bumper on that side to guide the wheelchair and keep it on the ramp. The step matches the steps already there and was a good way to finish off the side.

Savannah's 6th Birthday

Friday was Savannah's 6th birthday. She had a party at Super Frank's in the Princess Room. Pizza, cake, games and presents - what a great birthday. Then on Sunday the Boyle, etc. family is off to Disneyland for a week.

Current day MOD SQUAD

Here is an updated MOD SQUAD - off to the greenbelt for a ride last Saturday.

Rick, Franny and Mom started last Saturday off with a trip to Pleasanton to get a Starbucks card at the credit union car sale. We met up with Ray and Brandon at the Farmers market. We stopped to smell the roses a few times. There were some statues along Main Street that were on display for a few months (Rick and Brandon are by one). Then we went to see Savannah's garden at her house - notice the artichoke - one of her very favorites!

Finished Project

I recently finished this needleroll and thought I'd share the pictures. I'd bought the kit in a shop in Victoria BC last spring. This project was difficult for me because I did all the finishing work as well as the stitching. All the items on the design refer to Mary Queen of Scots.
