Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say hi and hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving! We had a house full of friends, family and friends of family; about 20 altogether. We cooked the turkey and green beans and everyone brought something. As always, there was plenty o' food. Here are a few pics from the day.
Apples to Apples was the post-meal game. Lots of uproarious laughter! Someone enjoyed a little snooze fest :>) William mastered a new trick he saw on t.v. the night before last. Kind of hard to tell in the picture but what's holding the fork and spoon on the edge of the glass? Who will Ben and Alli be bringing to Thanksgiving next year??

Here we are in Temecula with Kathie and Dwayne Hancock. (Kathy was my walking partner for 5 years and she also worked at the hospital) We are at an Italian restaurant - outside because it was so warm. We had lots of fun with them. We went to see Fireproof - a must for everyone to see.

Birth of a New Quilter

This is my friend Shirley. She is also a special education teacher. Although she has always sewn, she is new to quilting. This is her first effort on her brand new Bernina sewing machine. Mom, she sat next to you at the quilt guild meeting. I'm so impressed with her as a person and now as a quilter!
